Amber

Amber had surgery today to remove some polyps from her nose. Bless her heart, this is her 3rd surgery this year. I told her that the motto for 2009 is "No more surgeries!" She is home and doing well. Take care, God bless, and Happy New Year!

Heather

Thanks for all your prayers. Heather saw the specialist today. The Doctor said that Heather's cervix lengthened 5 cms. That is really good news! She told her to continue on bed rest. Heather is at 24 weeks now.

Feeling Melancholy

This has been such a tough year. My mother passed away in March, and my Step-father passed away in July. I hope they are happy and at peace. I miss them...

Heather

Heather saw the Maternal Fetal Specialist today. She found out that her cervix is beginning to open up a bit, she is only at 22 weeks gestation. The specialist put her on bed rest. Depending on what happens at her appointment next week she may be getting a cervical cerclage, which is a fancy term for a stitch that holds the cervix shut. Please keep Heather and the baby in your prayers.

Snow in Henderson?

Yes, it snowed in Henderson It was really fun! We hunkered down, drank hot chocolate, and watched the snow fall. I have to admit I was relieved when it melted. I've lived in Henderson all of my life and I've never driven in the snow!

Silas and Santa

We took Silas to see Santa. He was so excited, it was really cute. He was under the impression that Santa was going to give him all of his Christmas gifts after he sat on his lap. He was a bit disappointed so Grandma just had to let him open a few of his Christmas gifts when we got home. After seeing Santa Silas built a koala bear at Build a Bear. Silas is so funny, he chose the r-o-a-r sound box to go in his bear. It was a really fun day.
